Dr. Carlos Casanova Mateo

Adjunct Professor

Dr. Carlos Casanova-Mateo received the B.S. degree in Physics from the Universidad de Valladolid (Spain) in 2000, and a Ph.D. degree in Applied Physics from the same institution in 2007. Currently, he is an adjunct professor at the Department of Computer Systems (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain). After working for Coritel, Iberia LAE, and Senasa he became State Meteorologist in 2011. His current interests deal with soft-computing techniques, hybrid algorithms, and neural networks in different applications of environmental science and applied engineering.
